Round 2 Phase 3 Day 10

Good morning. Still feeling a little crappy from this bronchitis and not sleeping well. The antibiotics are messing with my stomach.

I am supposed to go to a funeral service this morning, however, between the coughing and stomach issues, I'm not sure I will make it.

I am about to embark on some major spring cleaning. Purging, condensing, packing. I plan on having a big yard sale so I will be putting things aside for that. I will be retiring soon and am putting my house on the market for sale. I tried it 6 months ago and didn't get very many offers. I will try again now that the market appears to be headed in a better direction. Heading to Home Depot for a sign!

I also have a few minor repairs to take care of. I also need to sell my van. I have 2 vehicles, my 1996 minivan (which has no air...aack, summer coming in Miami) and my sons Scion. I need a reliable car and since my son went into the air force and no longer wants his car, I will sell my van and just drive his car.

I'm going to do some carpet cleaning and detailing on the van and get a sign on it. No need to pay insurance on 2 vehicles.

Anyway.......let's see what the scale has to say this morning and if I am any closer to my LIDW after my fall off the wagon.

200.7~~ down 4.3 today and 9.3 in 3 days. holey schmoley.

Todays Menu

Lunch: Shrimp and cabbage w bacon
Dinner: lean boneless pork chop w onion and mushrooms, cabbage w bacon

Round 2 phase 3 Day 7

Good Morning. I'm back on the wagon and on track today. I did a detox cleanse yesterday and now I am back in the groove. It was actually nice to hydrate. I had to hold off on liquids during my trip, so I now I drank at least a gallon and a half yesterday. I seemed to have brought home a nasty cold from Texas. I think I will call the doc today and try to nip this in the bud. It's all in my chest and head. I took nyquil last night and feel like I have medicine head. ugh. I can't let it get me down though.

I will try to walk today, but not sure I can push it as hard as I want. I also have the pancake size blisters on my feet from walking all over Lackland Air Force Base and downtown San Antonio. I also need to hit the grocery store for some P3 foods. I started P3 the day I left for San Antonio, so didn't want to buy groceries before I left. I'm looking forward to my avocado and cheese!

I finally got my luggage around 9pm last night. At least I got it.

I am afraid to get on the scale this morning. I am positive that my trip did some damage and set me back. I will just try to eat as clean as possible for the next 3 weeks.

So let's not put this off any more....Todays weight ~~~~~ 210

OH MY GOD.....I ganed 12 lbs in 6 days. Son of a bitch. Well....I'm not really surprised.

Round 2 P2 Last Day

Good mornign folks. Today is my last day of VLCD without HCG. I can already taste the piece of cheese I will eat tomorrow. Funny, that's the only thing that I really miss on P2.
My doctor was very pleased with the round 2 and overall losses. I will go back to see her on May 1st and then will begin loading for Round 3 on May 5th. Again, I am hoping to lose at least another 21 lbs.

I really can't wrap my head around the fact that I have lost almost 60 lbs already. Just goes to show you what you are capable of when you put your mind to it.

Today will be another busy day for me. I will be walking early, although I am a bit worried about the air. We had a large grass fire in the area and the smoke is hanging thick and stinking up the air. Not sure it would be too healthy to walk in it. Hopefully, when the sun comes up, it will dissipate some.

I am leaving in the morning for my trip to San Antonio. I am completely packed. Checked my list about a hundred times. Last thing on the list to do is make reservations with the shuttle company to get us to the airport. I am very excited to see my son graduate from Air Force Basic Training.

As far as the diet goes, I will make my choices wisely. I won't have a scale with me, so I will be going 4 days without weighing. Next Monday will tell the tale of how well I did.

I will also be working out hard over the next 3 1/2 weeks, in preparation for the Merrell Down and Dirty Mud Run. A 5 mile military style obstacle course, mostly through the mud. I have already secured a cheering section and someone to take photos. I am definitely up for this challenge.

Okay...todays weight is~~~~~198 so I'm up .4

Menu for the day
Walk
Protein Shake
Lunch: Curried Shrimp salad
Dinner: Turkey burger and asparagus

today, I did a total of 5 miles. About 1/3 of them jogging. yay for me

Round 2 Phase 2 Day 21

Good morning folks. Well, today is my last injection day for this round. I start my 72 hours minus HCG as of now. So Wednesday morning I will start P3. I've have timed this perfectly, as I am leaving on Wednesday to go to San Antonio for 5 days. My son graduates from Air Force Basic Training. I aven't seen him in 8 weeks (since February 14th) I am very excited about it.

I find eating P3 very easy. And especially for eating out. Last P3 I ended up losing 6 more pounds. I worked it increase my calories to stop losing. What I didn't realize, is that it really wasn't necessary since I was doing more rounds. I predict that I will lose more weight. Even though I will be traveling and eating out every meal, there will be a lot of nerves, emotions and walking. My only concern is drinking water. I may be limited as to the restroom availability (yikes!)

Now, yesterday, I attended a crawfish boil. I have to pat myself on the back. My will power was strong. I was faced with crawfish, jambalya, grilled oysters, seafood pasta salad, shrimp, a plethera of dips and spreads along with my crabcakes that I took. This is what I was faced with.

And lets not forget~~~~ the absolute ocean of desserts.

I carefully perused the available foods and ended up eating. Shrimp, crawfish, some cherry tomatos and celery. Not POP, but I saved all my calories for the event and grazed the whole time I was there.
I drank nothing but water, even though there was quite a variety of wine, alcohol, soda and sweet tea.

The crawfish and shrimp were pop, I asked my friend to grill me some oysters (sans the parmesean cheese)
I have no wayof knowing how much actual meat is in the crawfish I ate, but the work it takes to get the little morsel out, probably negated any calories....lol. and boy were they spicey.

Anyway...today or tomorrow, the scale will tell the tale.

Todays weight~~~ 197.6

Round 2 Phase 2 Day 20

Good morning. It's Saturday and I am on the 20th day of my 21 day round. To date, I have lost 22.8 lbs. My round goal was 21lbs. I have surpassed that. I have 3 more vlcd days left. With that being said, I have averaged 1 lb per day in this round. Not too shabby.
Here is another wonderful thing...wait for it..................

I DID IT! 198 lbs this morning.

Tomorrow will be my last injection. The 72 hours of vlcd. I start phase 3 on the 11th. Just before I leave for San Antonio. If history repeats itself, I will continue losing while on P3. In the first round, I was very focused on keeping my weight within the 2lb +/- LIDW. I am not going to worry about it this time (unless, of course, I go over)

My plan for Phase 3 is to
a) incorporate a lot more vegetables
b) more berries as fruit
c) eat more often
d) heavier weight training

On May 2nd, I will begin loading for another short 21 day round. My goal for that round will be another 21lbs (at least). I know that the losses may come slower as my total weight becomes less.

In comparison, on day 20 of round 1, I lost 25.1 lbs
day 20 of round 2, I am at 22.8 lbs

So I am curious to see what the final round numbers look like. And then compare them to the final round.

I think that I hav decided that after the last short round, I will continue my journey on my own. I will transition to the Paleo lifestyle. (I will write a separate post on that) I will also be conditioning more and doing something called calorie shifting. (I'll write on that too)

So here is the weight for the day. Fingers crossed that I have reached my round goal and also made it into ONEderland (that's lingo for getting out of the 200's and into the 100's)

My other challenge today is that I have a social event to attend. My friend has an annual crawfish boil. True cajuns....cooking up all the authentic treats. There will be alot of POP foods, and a bunch that won't be. I will truely test my willpower today.

On top of that, I am making mini crabcakes with lim cilanntro aiole. NO TASTE TESTING...ugh!
Wish me luck on the day.

I will have to post later about what I ate. (going to check some calorie counts right now)

Round 2 Phase 2 Day 15

Up at 4:30 again. But I did take a long nap yesterday in the late afternoon, I was super tired for some reason. I think I might have been emotionally drained. I spent a few hours with my friend Marlene, who is in stage 4 cancer. She looks awful. I tried to keep it as upbeat as possible, but to sit there and watch her try to speak and move. Knowing that she wasn't going to be around very much longer. It just tore me up emotionally. Her husband is taking it very hard and her youngest son, 19 is acting out in response to the situation. Just heartwrenching I tell you.

So I will get an early start on some things around here.

On a good note, I heard from my son who is in Basic Military Training for the Air Force. He is doing great and his flight (group) won the BEAST Excellence Award. Fantastic news. Now he is going to be taking his final physical agility assessment and is striving for the WarHawk Ribbon of excellence. I am so proud of his achievements and his desire to excell.

The graduation ceremony and all the fanfare start on april 12th. So on the 11th, I will be heading to San Antonio with his girlfriend to see him and spend 4 days hearing about his experiences and his plans from that point forward.  I am so looking forward to the trip.

I have timed my round so that P3 begins on the 11th. Eating out P3 is so easy. In fact, I can see myself eating P3 for the rest of my life.

But I still have 8 more days of phase 2. I am hoping to drop as much as possible before I go.

I did manage to go out and buy a few new tops for the trip. I am waiting until next weekend to get some new jeans. I was donated some by a friend so I am good to go either way.

Todays stats are~~~~~~

HCG Diet Round 2 Phase 2 Day 14

Well, I'm up early again, but went to bed early so I got some decent sleep. It's day 14 of round 2. I am 2/3 of the way through this short round.

I'm still a little disheartened by the comments made on one of the FB Pages. But I will not let it get me down. Fortitude. That's my middle name now.

Busy day today. I will be walking early this morning. Then I will be going by a popular BBQ restaurant to pick up food to take to my dear friend Marlene. She has stage 4 cancer that she has been valiantly battling for 3 years. The cancer, however, is winning. We have all gotten on them meal train to provide dinner for her and her family. Today is my day and their favorite is Shorty's BBQ.

My mouth is more sore today post oral surgery. I hope the pounding walking will not make it feel worse. Wish me luck!

So after my walk, I will be heading down there to spend some time with them. Later, my son should be calling from Basic Military Training. I missed last weeks call, I don't want to miss this weeks.

Unsure of the menue today. I am going to try to make stuffed (with ground beef) chard leaves. We'll see how they turn out.

The weight for the day is~~~~~~

202.2lbs
loss today 2.3lbs
 total round 2 18.6lbs
for an overall total of 53.8lbs gone forever.

I am so close to several mini-goals

2.3lbs from ONEderland
2.4lbs from my round goal (21lbs)
6.2lbs from my 60lb minigoal and my fourth ring.

Wooohoooooo! I still have 9 days left of this round. I got this..no problem.

Menu for the day

Lunch: Stuffed Chard leaves (ground beef, onion, garlic, salt, pepper and mint) wrapped in chard leaves (hard center stem removed) Then steamed and drizzled with lemon juice. Delicious
Dinner: grilled shrimp kabobs (used the george foreman) with cabbage

I felt a little water retention in the evening, so I ate a half a cantaloupe with 16oz of water. We'll see if that helps in the morning,

Happy Losing

Phase 2 Day 11

Good morning. It's 530 am and sleep has eluded me once again. I literally tossed and turned all night. I have a doctors appointment this monring and an going to have to discuss this again with my physician.
Lack of sleep cannot be good for the diet or my general health.

There probably will not be a workout today, timing. Doctors appt at 10 and other little errands that need to be taken care of. Then work from 230-1030pm. My brother is going to stay with me tonight, (he has a job here in Miami that he's doing) so I need to make sure I have some NON hcg diet food for him to eat and something other than water for him to drink.

I need to work on my testimonial for my doctor. She's been asking for it.

Time to hit the scale~~~~~~Todays weight 204.7 That's a loss of 2.3 today and 16.1 for this round. And my total loss......................51.3 pounds gone, buh bye. I did it. I passed the 50 pound mark.

wooohooooo

Can you believe it? I am in shock (not really, cause I'm working hard, but hot dayum!

I knew that I was getting close and decided to purchase a little reward for myself.

Sterling Silver 1/5ct TDW Brown Diamond Square RingSterling Silver 1/4 TDW Brown Diamond Square NecklaceSterling Silver 2/5ct TDW Brown Diamond Link Bracelet (I2)
okay so I bought three little rewards, but I worked very hard and I deserve them.
(can't wait until they arrive)

Home from the doctors and errands, but then while eating lunch, broke a tooth. Off to the dentist. 2 1/2 hours later, he said I had to see an oral surgeon. Really?!? Tomorrow I will have oral surgery at 12:45. I need to make sure that I eat something before I go. I'm sure I won't be eating afterwards.
Might have to supplement with a protein shake tomorrow.

Todays Menu

Lunch: shrimp over a bed of lettuce (only ate about 1/3 because my took broke while eating it)
Snack: Protein shake (trying to make up for lost protein at lunch)
Dinner: Meatballs and spinach

Round 2 Day 10

I'm up too early but ready to face the day. It's Round 2 Phase 2 Day 10, almost halfway through this round. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow and am excited to share my progress.

Todays weight~~~

I will be going walking at daybreak. (I would go now, but the park doesn't open until sunrise) I feel a good hard, long walk coming on. I was able to get my sons IPOD working, so I will have musical motivation. Then errands, then work for 1/2 day.

Tomorrow I am scheduled for a colonoscopy/endoscopy. Not to fret, no result of the diet. I had a bout with stomach cancer a few years ago and this is part of my routine yearly diagnostic testing. Fingers crossed on clean results.

Menu for the Day-

Snack: orange
Walk
Post workout shake
Lunch: roast beef lettuce wraps and cucumbers
Snack: Veal steak with cabbage

Round 2 Phase 2 Day 8 HCG Diet

Good morning folks. Today is day 8 of round 2 1/3 of the way through this round. After yesterdays seafood festival, I am really fretting about getting on the scale this am. After all the salt in the food I am worried about water weight. I even ate 1/2 a cantaloupe last night with the hopes that it would help me rid my body of the sodium.

This morning, I will walk (alot) in order to sweat some more out. I am a little upset though. My ipod is not working and music is what pumps me up on my walks. I guess I am going to have to invest in another one. I'm not sure what my son did with his. I would use it. I just looked in his room and found 2 of his Ipods...yay. Luckily we like the same music. Hopefully I can get them charged a little bit before I go walking.

Off to the store today to get some more veggies.

Do you see how I am puting off getting on the scale. Horrible isn't it. As if waiting another 20 minutes is going to miraculously help me drop a couple of pounds.

Okay...here we go! Drumroll please..........................................

OMG. I am down 3.3 lbs today. Hot diggity damn. I literally was doing the Happy Dance

Not sure if it was the cantaloupe, but I'll take it! Wooohooooo!

I can exhale now. It's gonna be a good day. Now if you have followed my blog from the beginning, you will know that I purchased some rings. Simple thin bands with different colored gemstones. I bought 4 of them and told myself that I would use them as rewards for my weightloss.

1 band for every 15 lbs lost. Well......with todays weightloss, I am proud to say that I have just placed ring #3 on my finger. I am clearly on my way of putting #4 on.

So here are my stats so far.

Beginning Weight: 256
Current Weight: 208.0
Total Loss: 48.1

Loss this round: Day 8 and down 12.8lbs

Saturday, March 24, 2012

Round 2 Phase 2 Day 6

The scale continues to move downward... I was hoping for bigger losses this round. I lost 2.6 lbs this morning. For a total of 9.1lbs this round.  On day 6 of round 1, I had already lost almost 13lbs. Hopefully, the inches will come off quickly this time too.

This brings me to another sore spot. When you start out this diet weighing as much as I did (256lbs) and begin losing weight, it seems that the appearance of weight loss is much less and the drop in clothing size is much slower. I look on some of the forums, and people who started at say, 180, and lose 42 lbs, drastically reduce their clothing size. I, however, have only lost 3 dress sizes. Yes, it is all relative I know. But frustrating none the less. I am hoping that, as I lose weight on this round, that I will see a more dramatic change in inches and clothing size.

I set a weight goal of 190 on this round. But as the losses slow, i will be happy if I can get to ONEderland. (out of the 200's).

As much as it pains me to say, but I think that I may be working out way to hard. I am going to try (the operative word being try) to cut back on my exercise a little. Maybe 3 miles instead of 5 or 6.
I recieved my 10 minute trainer videos and I will try one of those today. I just want my underlying muscles to stay toned so that when all the fat eventually comes off, BAM. A slamming body.

I just think that I may be pushing it a little too hard. I also need to switch it up a bit. I have been walking as my primary form of cardio. The wind has died down here quite a bit, so riding my bike will be on the rotation. I also have, as I'm sure many of us do, various and sundry exercise videos.

I have a Tae Bo, belly dancing, some other dancing videos, now the 10 minute trainer. My friend just got the kettleworx videos and he is going to attempt to make copies for me or let be borrow them here and again.

On the agenda today, is a lot of housework and organizing. I may go out tonight to see my friends band play. It will be tempting, but Perrier and lime has become my friend.

Tomorrow is the seafood festival at the beautiful Deering Estate. We will be there through lunch and dinner. You can't take food in, but there is plenty of doable food choices. But it will be hard to pass up the beer wagons....aack! wouldnt beer flavored stevia be the bomb!  lol

Menu for the day

Lunch: Steak and onion fajita on a bed of lettuce with fresh salsa, melba toast
Snack: strawberries
Dinner: Tilapia with roasted asparagus
Snack: Apple

Friday, March 23, 2012

Day 5

Good morning. I'm down 1.5lbs, which only negates the gain yesterday. I'm kinda frustrated. I should be losing. When I gain and then lose, I feel like I have lost a day. But I shall move forward.

I did have an enlightening moment yesterday. I decided to pull out the sewing machine and take in a few things that were too big. After trying on every pair of jeans in my closet, most were way to big to be altered. So I ended up with a big black garbage bag full of close to be taken to goodwill. YAY!

22's gone, 20's gone, 18's gone. some 16's fit others could be taken in. And yesterday, I wore a pair of 15's (don't even know where I got those) to work. wooohoooo. One of my coworkers recently lost a few pounds and brought me 5 pairs of 14 jeans. I will fit into them come hell or high water.

My overall goal size is an 8. I haven't been in a single digit in 30+ years. Maybe it's a lofty goal, but I am aiming high! I have the jeans hanging on the outside of my closet. (along with the bathing suit that I will wear this summer.

I really need to stop letting the scale rule my day. It is just a tool. I don't even really care what my end weight is. I am more about body composition and size. Heck, at 174 I was wearing a size 12. i just want to really feel comfortable in my own skin. I'm 50 years old. I am not out to look like a model (I'm too short anyway)

Someone posted a great video on not worshiping the scale.

On that note, I am going to get ready to hit the trails for my walk. Feeling good this am. I actually got more sleep than usual. Walked 5.5 miles

Haven't even thought about the menu for the day. I'll be back later to post it.

Menu for the day
Lunch: beef and onion fajita on a bed of shredded lettuce with fresh salsa
Snack: strawberries
Dinner: Shrimp with brussel sprouts
Snack: apple

Round 2 Phase 2 Day 3

Good morning. Finally got a little more sleep than I had been. Which is a good thing. Wasn't feeling as tired yesterday at work. From here on out it should be easy peasy. I am following more the 800 calorie plan this time, because I am working out. Fortunately or unfortunately, I am a researcher at heart. I know that with the advances in Nutritional Sciences, there is proof that eating too little will cause you to hold on to weight. I know that eating all day, or grazing is better for you than 3 meals a day. I am doing another experiment. I have also read that eating a slow digesting protein in the evening will keep the calorie burning furnace going.

Another thing I found is that, if I make one of my meals a salad, meaning, having my protein on a big bed of lettuce or shredded cabbage, it keeps my digestion moving and my BM's a little easier and more frequent.

Let's see what the scale says this am:

I'm going for a walk this morning.

Menu for the day

Snack: orange
Workout: walking
Snack: Shake
Lunch: shrimp salad
Snack:
Dinner: meatballs and brussel sprouts

HCG Diet Round 2, Phase 2, Day 1

Well, it's officially day one of phase 2. I've done 1 full day of VLCD and wondering what the scale will say this morning. I was kind of tired yesterday, but that could be a combination of things. I didn't sleep well night before last, I walked 5.67 miles, the VLCD and the injections.

I'm up this am at 4:30. Here we go again. After my loading days where I felt completely nauseous. I am feeling "lighter". I probably spent more time in the bathroom over the last 48 hours than I will in the next 3 weeks.

It's raining, so I'm not sure of a walk today. But I will do the elliptical machine if nothing else. I ordered 10 minute trainer yesterday and can't wait until I get that. I just happened to be looking through my dvds yesterday for a movie to watch and found my tae bo and core dance training videos. I might have to try one of those. I'll just push the coffee table aside and get to work.

I also have some general housecleaning to do around here before going to work at 2pm.

let's get this weigh in going: R2P2D1~~~~216.9  down 3.6 from load weight.

Menu for the day:

am: coffee
Workout: walked 4.96 miles, 10,503 steps
Post workout shake
Lunch: fajita salad (roast beef, onion, fajita seasoning, lettuce/tomato)
Snack: apple
Dinner: tilapia and cabbage

Feeling really tired today. Thinking that I may need to cut back on the walking a little bit.  I need to head to whole foods for some additional supplies.

Round 2 Phase 2~~ Here We Go!

R1P2D0- It's finally here. After a 2 days of eating crap and feeling the same, I have never been more anxious to begin the VLCD (very low calorie diet) phase of the protocol.

I suffered some pretty serious stomach issues after the two days of loading. My stomach sounds like the sound track from Juraissic Park Once again, my fingers feel like sausages and spent more than my fair share of time in the bathroom. (which continues on this morning) Worse than that, I just feel like crap, sluggish, bloated, puffy, foggy. I don't like it.

I am very ready to start this.

My offical weight is 220.5, so I gained 6 lbs on the load****. aaaaaccck. Let's see if the 2 day load works any better than the 1 day.

*****I have been working very hard in the yard for the last 3 days, heavy lifting and such. Part of this load weight might possibly be muscle.

I will be walking today and haven't quite decided the menu.

Snack: 1/2 grapefruit
Workout~~Walked 5.67 miles 12, 016 steps
Post workout: protein shake (powder, water, stevia)
Lunch: roast beef lettuce wraps
Snack: apple
Dinner:shrimp and asparagus

2nd Loading Day

Good morning. It's early. After leaving work early last night with an upset stomach, I was asleep early last night. I felt rotten. Amazing how totally awful my body felt after eating yesterday.  A Wendy's hamburger didn't use to be a problem for me. ugh! And I really did eat that tempura until it was at the top of my esophagus. I couldn't even imagine eating that entire meal.

My fingers look like vienna sausages from all the salt and chemicals and my stomach feels like there is a giant rock inside it. Not good. Hoping my coffee with make it pass (no pun intended).

We'll see what the scale says this morning. I'm not even going to get on the scale. I'll do it tomorrow morning.

I hve more yard cuttings to schlep to the front of the house this morning. I'm hoping some of the salt and water retention will take a hike when I do it.

Me and my BFF are heading to the Black Point Marina Ocean Grill for a late lunch- early dinner around 3pm. I have been wanting some conch fritters. We'll be getting apps and some frozen fruity drinks and sit by the water. We both definitely need a chill day.

But to be honest.....I can't wait for tomorrow. I don't like eating like this or in this quantity anymore.

well, my BFF backed out on me for today. I'm kinda pissed. I should have made plan B. But I didn't
I worked for about 4 hours in the yard.
I went to the grocery store and got a couple of things for P2, but bought some coconut shrim and crab cakes. I'll  have those for lunch. I bought some sausage (a weakness) to make sausage and eggs for dinner. And a pint of Ben and Jerrys Cherry Garcia for dessert.

I've already eaten some egg salad and a protein shake. I know. Not a huge load, but more than I can physically tolerate right now.

I'm going to go lay in the sun with a homemade marguerita and my coconut shrimp!

Round 2 Here We Go

I've decided to start loading today. I'm going to do a 2 day load and see what happens with my losses. The first round, my doctor only had me load 1 day, but every where I look  I see 2 to 3. So I'm going to do the 2. Light load today and heavy load tomorrow. Sunday I will start VLCD. Hoping to hit 20lbs by the end of Rouond 2 Phase 2.

I need to do more work in the yard, but it has rained all night. It will be a mess with everything wet. But it needs to get done.

i was going to go get my haircut, but I think I will wait until the week before I go see my son graduate. I'm also waiting until the last minute to buy some new clothes.

It is early. My weight is up 1 lb (However, I have been working out very hard) Hoping that the extra weight is muscle and will assist in calorie burning for this round. My plan is to do Light weights 3 days a week and walking the other 4. We'll see how it pans out.

Haven't decided what to load on today. I'll be back later to fill you in.

Okay so for breakfast, I had 2 slices of cauliflower pizza loaded with extra turkey pepperoni and mozzarella cheese.
For lunch I had a baconator hamburger from Wendy's (minus the bun) large fried (the dogs ate half of those) and a root beer float.
Snack: gouda cheese and 1/2 avocado with olive oil and lemon juice.
Dinner: I was working and ordered from my favorite Japanese Restaurant, I had seafood and vegetable tempura. Shrimp, crab, scallop, fish and broccoli, sweet potatoe and asparagus. I almost ate all of it. Had a little help from a coworker. The meal came with rice and a salad, which I gave to my chief. I couldn't even fit it in.

I can even imagine the amount of calories that I consumed yesterday.

I got so nauseous about an hour later, and sleepy as hell. I ended up leaving work. Nasty.

Loading was definitely not as fun this time as it was the first time.

We'll see what the scale says in the morning.

Day 41~~~~Almost Done, for now.

Today is day 41 of my 42 day round on the HCG Diet. I have one injection left. Then on to 3 days of VLCD (500 cal) for 3 days without the HCG. I have Rx appetite suppressants for use just in case I feel too hungry.

February 23rd I will start Phase 3, stabilization. From what I have researched and read, this next 3 weeks is the most important and pivotal phase in the HCG diet protocal. This is where your diet helps to reset the hypothalmus. In otherwords, it tells your hypothalmus that this is your new NORMAL weight. You must stay plus or minus 2 lbs of your last injection (or drop) date. If you go under the 2 lbs, you must adjust your calorie intake upwards. If you go over 2 pounds, there are corrective measures to take.

I never thought that I would be stressed out about being allowed to eat more. Essentially, you will triple your calorie intake. More protein, more variety of vegetables, you can add "good" fats, cheese and dairy. Still no simple carbs. Bread, rice, potatoe, beans, etc.

Sonia Russel has written a no-fail plan for stabilization. The premise is to add calories gradually over the 3 week period rather than trippling your calorie intake from the onset. This will reduce the possibility of having to do a "correction" day.

I want to make the most of the stabilization phase, so I am in the process of finding out the best fats to add. I'm excited to get the next phase started, but apprehensive at the same time.

My future goals are to stay on Phase 3 for 4 weeks and then do another round of HCG. I will probably do a 21 day round, 3 weeks on Phase 3, then another 21 day round. This because of a timing issue.

Many things to do today.

Menu:
Snack Apple
Lunch:Roast beef wraps and cabbage
Snack: 1/2 grapefruit (then I walked)
Dinner: Chicken/onion fajita salad with salsa

I'm going to do a detox bath this evening. And pray for tomorrow!
